About this role

Are you interested in working with accounting and reporting in a small, tight-knit team? Do you have strong accounting skills and an interest in reporting and follow-up? Then this job might be perfect for you! We are now seeking an engaged accounting economist who, with strong initiative and analytical ability, wants to contribute to sustainable development within our operations. WBAB is a community builder and an important local actor that ensures the fundamental functions of a sustainable society – clean water from the tap, environmentally safe sewage, and efficient waste management. Your Role As an accounting economist with us, you will work with accounting, VAT, and financial statements. You will also focus on financial follow-up and reporting to support the operations in their management and development. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and managers and are expected to contribute to the development of both financial processes and reporting. In addition to daily accounting work, you will also quality-assure financial information and conduct ongoing follow-ups of the operations' financial outcomes. You will be a proactive support to managers in analyzing key figures, deviations, and goal achievement, and participate in budget and forecasting work. Qualifications We are looking for someone with post-secondary education, or equivalent competence that we assess as equivalent. You should have several years of experience in similar work, and we consider it self-evident that you are experienced in working with financial systems. We also expect you to be a proficient user of the Office package and skilled at using various Excel functions. You should have excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. Experience with financial statements for limited companies is meritorious. Personal Characteristics As a person, you have analytical abilities and work systematically. You are unpretentious and have a proactive and solution-focused approach. Your collaborative skills are high, and you work equally well in a group or independently. You have a sharp eye for numbers but also the ability to see the bigger picture. Your communication is clear, and you can easily explain economic connections in a simple and pedagogical manner. Our core values are honest, open, curious, involved, and professional. They guide us in what we do and how we do it, and will also serve as a compass for you in your assignment. Significant weight will be placed on personal characteristics. Employment Terms Permanent full-time position. Start date according to agreement. Application Last application date is December 7, 2025. Selection and interviews may occur on an ongoing basis. Send your application in the form of a personal letter and CV via email to [email protected].
