Do you want to take a central role in a growing company where you will have both responsibility, influence, and the opportunity to shape the structure of the finance function of the future? We are now looking for an independent and dedicated accountant for a Swedish company within a Nordic group.
Start date: As soon as possible, preferably before Christmas. This is a long-term position where you will initially work as a consultant through People of Finance for approximately six months, with the intention of subsequently transitioning into a permanent employment with our client.
About the role: As the accounting manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing financial operations in the Swedish entity. The role is broad and independent, with responsibility for the entire accounting flow, from daily bookkeeping to year-end closing and reporting. You will be a key person in the company's finance function and work closely with the Swedish management while reporting to the group's CFO. This is a role for someone who thrives in an operational environment with significant responsibility, where much is still being built and developed. You will have the opportunity to influence, streamline, and establish new routines and processes as the company grows.
Examples of tasks:
• Ongoing bookkeeping of incoming and outgoing payments
• Customer and supplier accounts
• Monthly and annual financial closing (K3 requirements)
• Assist with annual reports and audits
• Declarations to the Swedish Tax Agency (VAT, AGI, chemical tax, periodic summaries, deferrals)
• Reporting to Statistics Sweden (SCB)
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Developing and improving financial routines and processes
• System administration in financial systems and invoice management
• Ad-hoc tasks related to the business
About you: We are looking for someone with at least 4-5 years of experience in qualified accounting, preferably from companies with high transaction volumes. You are confident in the closing process and have experience with the K3 regulations, as well as having worked in Visma Business (an advantage). You enjoy a role where you have significant responsibility and can work completely independently in the accounting flow, but also closely with management in a large company with a high growth rate.
