About this role

Are you ready to work in a community-supporting organization? To ensure that all animals in Sweden have the opportunity to live the best life possible, we have the District Veterinarians. With around-the-clock readiness, clinics across the country, and unique knowledge of animal health, we contribute to healthier animals and a safer life. As district veterinarians, we work on behalf of individuals, businesses, and authorities. We offer community-supporting services for emergency animal care, disease control, and preventive measures for good animal health. Always with our feet on the ground and our hearts in the right place. The District Veterinarians are part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture. Vännäs is one of the largest clinics of the District Veterinarians. Our broad operations give you access to knowledgeable colleagues, a varied and interesting job, modern equipment, and continuous professional development. The District Veterinarians in Vännäs, located about 30 kilometers outside Umeå, have a spacious facility designed for the reception of both small and large animals, where we operate around the clock. Do you want to help create community value? Take the opportunity to work in a unique and varied environment where you can contribute to improving the lives of small animals in Västerbotten! JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a person to strengthen our team by providing the best possible service to our customers. You will be responsible for delivering daily operational tasks and a first-class customer experience. You will operate within all company policies, procedures, frameworks, and service level agreements. You will largely work in our reception and manage our store. This includes being available by phone for inquiries and appointment bookings, welcoming our customers and patients, and handling payments. In addition to reception duties, you will be responsible for daily cleaning and hygiene at the clinic. This means ensuring that the clinic is clean and fresh, managing dishes and laundry, and restocking supplies. You will also assist veterinarians as needed. There are good opportunities for internal training, which means you may also handle laboratory samples, manage instruments, and perform some record-keeping. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is passionate about service and has the ability to spread joy while maintaining a professional impression. It is important that you enjoy interacting with people, are self-driven, and work in a structured and meticulous manner. You thrive in an environment where no two days are the same and are not afraid to pitch in where needed. As a person, you are communicative and solution-oriented. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and have strong collaboration skills. For this position, you are required to hold a valid B driver's license and have a high school education. You should also be able to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English and have good computer skills. Experience in hygiene and cleaning, healthcare, and reception work is particularly advantageous. You will be employed as an animal caregiver, and since we work with animal healthcare, you must not have allergies to fur or be afraid of animals. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION We care about our staff. Therefore, we offer all employees within the District Veterinarians the opportunity to enjoy various benefits. Some examples include 28-35 days of vacation depending on your age, salary exchange, wellness grants, and occupational health services. For parents, we have good conditions to help find a balance between work and family life, including parental leave supplements and the possibility to reduce your working hours until the child is twelve years old. We strive for diversity among our employees. Our working language is Swedish, and our positions require proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. In preparation for the recruitment process, the District Veterinarians have made decisions regarding recruitment channels and marketing. Therefore, we do not wish to be contacted by advertising salespeople or recruitment agencies. At the District Veterinarians, we use e-recruitment through Offentliga Jobb to streamline and ensure the quality of the application process. Once you have filled in your details, you can easily apply for other jobs without having to re-enter your information. Thank you for applying through Offentliga Jobb!
