The Department of Digital Infrastructure and Security, together with the Department of Public Administration Digitalization, is responsible for issues related to societal digitalization. The area of responsibility includes, among other things, the digital infrastructure's security and robustness, the sector's crisis preparedness and role in civil defense, the market for digital services, and the postal market. The department is part of the Public Administration Division, which also oversees municipal governance, public procurement, official statistics, gaming policy, state property management, and consumer affairs.
The department works with legislation, policy development, and agency governance. We work with the entire legislative chain, both nationally and at the EU level. In addition to EU negotiations, we participate in collaboration within the EU and other international bodies. We also prepare decision-making and speaking materials for political leadership.
Work on digitalization legislation occurs at the intersection of new technology and law. As a legal expert, you will contribute to designing and adapting regulations in line with both technological development challenges and policy developments that largely occur at the EU level. You will handle complex issues directly related to rapid global environmental changes. You will work independently but in close collaboration with colleagues within the division and other parts of the Government Offices. Tasks will include review, quality assurance, and preparation of proposed decisions in government matters, as well as work on other divisional responsibilities.
Your Background
We are seeking an assessor from an administrative court or court of appeal. To be successful in the role, you need to be a skilled writer with experience writing extensively. You should also be a stringent presenter with a developed ability to adapt presentations to different target groups and highlight the most essential aspects in oral contexts. We expect you to master Swedish and English as working languages, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of other EU languages is meritorious.
Experience in legislative drafting and relevant legal work from an authority is meritorious. Experience working with digitalization issues is also meritorious. Furthermore, understanding of work in a politically governed organization is advantageous.

Additional Information
We can offer one or more positions, an appointment up to six years as a legal expert for those on leave from court, or a permanent position as a qualified lawyer if not on leave. The positions have the same requirements profile. Start date is as soon as possible. Work location is Stockholm, and the position is full-time. Security screening with register check will be conducted before employment decision. You must be a Swedish citizen but are welcome to have a foreign background.
