The Department of Imaging and Functional Medicine in Västerbotten (BFM) operates extensive services at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå, the hospitals in Skellefteå and Lycksele, as well as at health centers in southern Lapland. BFM is responsible for all types of imaging radiological examinations and treatments, including nuclear medicine, mammography, and advanced peripheral and neurointerventions.
The mammography unit is responsible for all mammography services in Västerbotten County, and you will be part of an engaged team of radiology nurses and physicians. The unit is located at both Norrland University Hospital in Umeå and Skellefteå Hospital.
We are now seeking a radiology nurse for our unit in Skellefteå. In the Mammography department, we work collaboratively with various disciplines to detect breast cancer early. Here, you will have the opportunity to grow and make a difference!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a radiology nurse with us, you will contribute your knowledge and commitment to ensure that patients feel secure.
You will work with screening, ultrasound assistance, biopsies, and patient care. Your responsibilities will also include image management, quality control, and administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling. In addition to collaborating closely with the mammography units, you will also work in the clinical setting with the surgical department in Skellefteå.
QUALIFICATIONS
For this position, you need to be a licensed radiology nurse. Experience in the profession and previous work in mammography is an advantage.
