Within the social care administration, about 1,200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work encompasses elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care. The health and medical care unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and healthcare assistants. We work with patients aged 18 and older who require health and medical care at the primary care level in their homes, both in special and ordinary housing. JOB DESCRIPTION As a physiotherapist with us, you will become a significant part of Ystad's municipal primary care. Here, you will work closely with residents in their daily lives and meet people at various stages of life. With your expertise, you contribute to creating security, participation, and increased quality of life for those you encounter. You will have a varied and meaningful job where the focus is always on the individual's needs, goals, and circumstances. Your role will be to enhance each client's ability to engage in activities and achieve independence, whether it involves taking small steps forward or making significant progress. Together with the client's network, you will create conditions for an active and fulfilling life. Your daily tasks will include, among other things: • Conducting functional assessments and following up on rehabilitation processes. • Prescribing and adapting assistive devices to facilitate daily life. • Working with both rehabilitation and habilitation based on the client's needs. • Guiding and instructing clients, relatives, and staff to create security and continuity. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist who has a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Since the role involves many contacts and extensive documentation, it is important that you have good pedagogical skills and can express yourself clearly in both speech and writing. Experience working as a physiotherapist in a municipal rehabilitation setting or in ordinary and special housing is an advantage. The role requires you to work independently, make decisions, and conduct your own assessments. We focus on the client and spend a lot of time with each individual, which requires patience and the ability to build trust. It is also important that you are attentive and have good collaboration skills. You should have good computer skills and experience documenting in journal systems.
