Are you a flexible person who takes responsibility and is engaged in your work tasks? You have a calm demeanor while being playful, and you love working with children? We are looking for assistants who currently have another job but are willing to work on an as-needed basis.
We are now seeking assistants for a charming 5-year-old boy. The boy lives alternately with his parents in Arboga.
The boy has Bainbridge-Ropers syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and epilepsy. He does not have verbal language and communicates through visual support, communication boards, and signs (TAKK). Experience in any of these areas is an advantage but not a requirement, as we prioritize personal suitability for the position.
He has a significant need for assistance with his daily living activities. He requires help with dressing and undressing, hygiene, communication, and mobility. He needs assistance during meals and also receives food through a feeding tube. He requires training/play where you, as an assistant, will need to provide stimulation.
The work shifts are varied as the boy attends a special needs school. On weekdays, the shifts vary between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM, depending on whether it is a school day or a holiday. On weekends, the need is within the timeframe of 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
You, as the applicant, should be engaged, flexible, and responsible, and able to be alert as the boy's condition can deteriorate quickly. You need to have personal experience with children with disabilities, a driver's license, and access to a car.

Additional Information: We have a collective agreement and individual salary setting, as well as wellness benefits of up to 4000 SEK per year.
According to the law on background checks and Good Assistance's policy, anyone working with minors must present a criminal record extract (for work with children and disabilities). Please do this as soon as possible, as it can take up to two weeks to receive the criminal record.
