At Amicare AB, we work with individuals who have experienced various living arrangements but have not yet felt the sense of having a true home. We are an LSS residence that supports individuals under LSS 9:9 PK1. Often, these are individuals who have tried different housing solutions within LSS for an extended period but have not succeeded in maintaining long-term residency. Typically, our users face additional challenges such as outwardly aggressive or challenging behavior, psychiatric issues, and often various forms of dependency, including alcohol, drugs, or self-harming behavior. Our facility is staffed around the clock to meet individuals where they are, and to ensure everyone feels seen and heard, we maintain a high staff-to-user ratio. We also assist users in receiving any additional services they may require. Each individual has a personalized support plan, where we participate as a partner to help them benefit from the support provided. Currently, we operate two LSS residences in Hofors municipality: a service apartment and a group home. How do we work at Amicare? LOW-INTENSITY APPROACH: We meet our users based on their current situation. If chaos arises, we wait and continue from where we left off without judgment. LONG-TERM APPROACH: We remain committed and persistent, always taking responsibility for the interaction. EVALUATION: When incidents occur, we conduct a chain analysis. What happened?
