Are You the Occupational Therapist We're Looking For? - Schedevi Psychiatry We are now seeking someone who wants to make a difference in a wonderful team where everyone is needed. Our vision is to be a high-quality and market-leading care provider in Sweden for individuals with mental and physical disabilities who have complex and long-term support, supervision, and care needs. We offer round-the-clock care and housing for adults with mental disabilities under both LSS and SoL regulations. We are particularly focused on individuals with complex care needs, both mentally and physically. We have several well-established operations, existing since 1942 in three regions of Sweden. We have 96 places and approximately 200 employees. We now need to reinforce our team in the West region. Our staff includes caregivers, support assistants, support educators, nurses, physiotherapists, doctors, behavioral scientists, social workers, and treatment assistants. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a flexible and development-oriented team member, an occupational therapist for our team in Västergötland. In your role as an occupational therapist, you will contribute to the team with your specific professional expertise. This includes mapping, analyzing, and assessing client functional abilities. Based on this assessment, interventions may include supporting daily activities and structuring everyday life. When a new client moves in, your role, together with the team, is crucial in ensuring a good reception. External contacts are also important partners in this process. Your responsibilities will also include providing support, advice, and education for staff and clients regarding functional limitations and their daily life consequences, which includes prescribing and following up on certain assistive devices. For clients with declining cognitive and communication functions, significant emphasis will be placed on following up and finding solutions and relevant assistive tools. Previous experience in psychiatric care is advantageous. Perhaps you have your own business and want to work part-time in this position as a complement, or you are a senior professional with a desire to work part of the week. Such arrangements can be discussed with flexible scheduling. Documentation skills are necessary. You are a confident person with good initiative, curious and open to changes. You are comfortable working independently and have excellent team collaboration skills. You have a strong ethical approach and professional demeanor towards clients and colleagues, contributing to an open, learning, and supportive work climate where everyone helps each other.
