Python Developer

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join one of our key clients in Stockholm. The ideal consultant has strong backend development skills, experience building scalable services, and a solid understanding of modern Python frameworks and cloud environments. **Role Overview** As a Python Developer, you will design and develop backend services, APIs, and data processing components. You’ll collaborate closely with product teams, architects, data engineers, and DevOps to deliver robust, maintainable, and high-performing systems. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Python. - Build and optimize REST/GraphQL APIs and backend components. - Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and data teams to design scalable architectures. - Write clean, well-structured, and testable code following best practices. - Build automated unit, integration, and regression tests. - Optimize application performance and support production debugging. - Work with DevOps teams to integrate services into CI/CD pipelines. - Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decisions. - Contribute to improving engineering standards and development processes. **Technical Requirements** **Must-have skills (5–7 years):** - Strong hands-on experience with Python (3.x). - Experience with at least one major Python framework: - FastAPI (preferred) - Flask - Django - Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems. - Solid experience building RESTful APIs and backend integrations. - Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases: - PostgreSQL / MySQL - MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar - Comfortable with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP). - Understanding of containerization (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus). - Strong experience with Git and CI/CD tooling. - Experience writing automated tests using PyTest or similar frameworks. **Nice to Have:** - Experience with async programming (asyncio, aiohttp). - Exposure to event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS). - Some experience with data pipelines or ML workflows. - Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). - Performance tuning and profiling of Python applications. **Soft Skills** - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently with ownership and accountability. - Analytical and problem-solving mindset. - Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile environments.
