Child and Family Health welcomes expectant parents and children up to 12 years old, along with their parents, for support and assistance in their family situation. We work closely and are co-located with Gävle Youth Center.
Our psychosocial team consists of 10 employees, including psychologists and social workers. The current position primarily involves working with the target group of children aged 6-12 years.
Our premises are conveniently located in central Gävle, with easy access to the train station, making commuting a viable option.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
As a PTP psychologist with us, you will have a variety of meaningful tasks where you will work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders. You will receive continuous supervision in addition to PTP supervision. As a PTP psychologist, you will also be responsible for developmental assessments for children up to five years old.
Your work as a PTP psychologist will include:
- Early interventions to prevent and alleviate mental health issues in children
- Treatment of mild to moderate mental health issues at the individual and family level
- Psychoeducational group therapy for children, adolescents, and parents.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
We are looking for someone who can work independently but also has a strong ability to collaborate with others. We value open and responsive communication within the team to support each other's learning. You take responsibility for your tasks and structure how you manage and advance your patient work. The ability to adapt your communication style based on the recipient is crucial in your work with patients and their relatives. We consider the ability to focus on the right issues and tackle challenges calmly and steadily as important qualities.
In the role of PTP psychologist, you should have:
- A recognized psychology degree
- Experience in psychosocial treatment work.
It is desirable that you have:
- Basic psychotherapy training with a focus on CBT
- Experience working with children and families
- Experience in teamwork and collaboration with healthcare neighbors.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
