The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå is the largest psychiatric clinic in Norrland with over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric wards, forensic psychiatric services, and multiple specialized outpatient and treatment units. The Psychiatric Clinic works towards providing equitable care for all, based on research and clinical experience. We are seeking a PTP Psychologist who will work at both the Psychosis Clinic and Geriatric Psychiatric Clinic The Psychosis Clinic's target group is patients with schizophrenia or schizophrenia-like conditions aged 18 to 60. The clinic is divided into multiprofessional teams working based on patient needs. Work follows a modified Case Management model. The clinic's work is grounded in evidence-based care and we actively work with national guidelines. The Geriatric Psychiatric Clinic offers specialized psychiatric care to individuals over 60. The clinic staff includes doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. At both clinics, daily collaboration occurs with various actors such as social services, primary care, social insurance office, and employment agency. We provide both reception and home visits, offering individual and group treatments. DUTIES As a PTP Psychologist with us, you contribute to caring for others and helping people feel better. You support and develop people at all stages of life. You work both independently and in teams, conducting assessments, investigations, and treatments under supervision. Duties follow the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations for practical psychological training. You will have an on-site supervisor and a well-functioning psychology group. You will participate in Region Västerbotten's PTP program with half-day meetings, either in Umeå or digitally. All meetings are mandatory and include theme days led by experienced psychologists, study visits, and discussions of professional legal and ethical issues. In addition to competence development, you'll have opportunities for experience exchange with other PTP psychologists. QUALIFICATIONS We seek a psychology graduate interested in specialized psychiatry. A psychology degree before starting is required. Experience in psychiatric work, assessment, and/or treatment is meritorious. We highly value personal qualities and seek someone who likes taking initiative, is creative, responsible, works systematically, and enjoys development and change work. You are a secure and stable person with a professional and good ethical approach. We seek someone who can work independently and in teams, with strong communication skills with both colleagues and patients. You enjoy collaboration and being present for both colleagues and patients.
