The primary care operations in Umeå and its surroundings are divided into four base units: North, South, West, and East. Our base units include both larger and smaller health centers in urban and rural settings.
Mariehem Health Center has around 12,000 registered patients and is located in Mariehem, Umeå. It’s just a five-minute walk to Nydalasjön. Mariehem Health Center is part of the northern primary care area, which also includes Sävar, Robertsfors, and Ersboda Health Center.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a PTP psychologist with us, you will contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.
You will support and develop individuals at all stages of life. You will work both independently and as part of a team with assessments, investigations, and treatments under supervision.
The tasks will follow the National Board of Health and Welfare’s regulations regarding practical training for psychologists. You will have a supervisor on-site and a well-functioning group of psychologists. You will participate in Region Västerbotten’s PTP program with half-day meetings either held in Umeå or conducted digitally. All meetings are mandatory and include thematic days led by experienced psychologists, study visits, or reviews of legal and ethical professional issues. In addition to professional development, you will have opportunities for experience-sharing with other PTP psychologists.
At Mariehem Health Center, the psychologist works alongside PTP psychologists in a team and is responsible for staffing the operations during the health center's opening hours. The opening hours are weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a qualified psychologist with an interest in assessments and cognitive behavioral therapy based on manuals and clinical behavior analysis, and who wants to be part of an effective organization focusing on high accessibility for patients. Experience as a psychological assistant or in roles requiring independent work in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
We expect you to be able to conduct assessments and psychological treatments in English as well. You are a secure and stable person with a professional approach. You enjoy collaborating and being available for both colleagues and patients.
