As a psychologist with us, we encourage you to participate in the development of the reception's operations. **About the Workplace** The geographical catchment area of the Adult Psychiatry Reception in Väster includes the western districts of Västerås, as well as Hallstahammar and Surahammar. The target group for the reception's work is individuals with psychotic disorders and significant neuropsychiatric disabilities. The reception is staffed by doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and secretaries, totaling 17 employees. Experience in investigative work is considered an asset for the position. As the work is based on conversations, collaboration, and documentation, good skills in Swedish are required to communicate professionally and clearly with both patients and colleagues. As a person, you are attentive and have a strong ability to understand others' situations. You have a respectful and pleasant demeanor towards both patients and colleagues. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner. To thrive in this role, you need to be autonomous with good judgment and empathetic abilities. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. **New to Psychology?** For newly licensed psychologists, we offer a two-year competency package to provide a smoother transition between the role of a provisional psychologist (PTP psychologist) and a licensed psychologist. The competency package includes: - A work-specific course - Participation in a national/Nordic congress - Observation within primary care, habilitation, child and adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, or forensic psychiatry (total five days) - Opportunity to attend supervisor training in the second year - Personal follow-up by an experienced psychologist **Employment Conditions** Permanent, full-time position, daytime hours.
