About this role

**Description** As our colleague goes on parental leave, we are now seeking someone to serve as a substitute school psychologist for her at our three schools: Frejaskolan, Björkåsskolan, and Flatåsskolan during 2026. Frejaskolan is located in the South-West school district 15 and is a K-9 school with approximately 650 students. Björkåsskolan and Flatåsskolan belong to South-West 2 and are both K-6 schools with a total of about 950 students. Here, you will play an important role as part of the student health team (EHT), contributing to the students' learning environment. Our areas of development are increased goal fulfillment and systematic quality work, all aimed at providing students the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their abilities and achieve their goals. **Responsibilities** As a psychologist, you will work with assessments and evaluations of students, groups, or parts of the organization to contribute knowledge about the conditions for health, learning, and development. The role also includes supervision, consultation, and support for individual educators and teams. As a psychologist, you, like all other professionals in student health, report to the principal. You will serve as a cohesive link between all three schools and provide psychological expertise within the overall student health team. The primary school administration has a well-developed management system based on the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), with a PLA in each educational area. Each educational area also has two professional developers who are also psychologists. As a psychologist in the South-West educational area, you will be part of a group of approximately 15 other psychologists who meet for professional meetings half a day each month. You will also be offered the opportunity to join a group for external supervision. The position is temporary from March 1 to December 20, 2026. The employment rate is 100%. **Qualifications** **Formal Competencies:** We are looking for a licensed psychologist. Previous experience working as a psychologist in schools in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas is an advantage. Experience in supervision, PAX, consultation, as well as assessment and evaluation is also meritorious. **Personal Competencies:** You have the ability to listen to others and are responsive to their needs. You show respect and consideration for those you encounter in your professional role. Additionally, you are flexible and can easily adapt your working methods based on changing conditions and new information. You are collaborative and have the ability to work together with others to accomplish tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and fostering understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. In your work, you are structured and clear, with the ability to take initiative and make decisions within the framework of your assignment. You also prioritize your efforts together with the principal and other student health staff. The professional role requires a high degree of independence, collaboration skills, and personal maturity. You also enjoy working with complex issues. Finally, you maintain composure in difficult situations and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure. We warmly welcome your application if you want to contribute and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people! **Additional Information** As an employee in our administration, you will be offered, among other things, wellness benefits, bicycle subsidies, and employee support. According to the Education Act, individuals must present a police record extract before being employed in preschool activities, schools, and school-age childcare. You can order this from the Police's website. In preparation for this recruitment, we have made decisions regarding recruitment channels and therefore kindly decline any further offers of competence mediation, advertising, and recruitment assistance. We only accept applications via our recruitment system in accordance with GDPR. **About Us** We are creating the future in Gothenburg – one lesson at a time.
