Psychologist Wanted for Habilitation Center Järva Children Habilitation Center Järva Children is pleased to expand our unit with an additional psychologist position! We are now seeking an experienced psychologist with an interest in working with challenging behaviors. We are a wonderful and dedicated team with extensive knowledge and a supportive atmosphere. Our work is characterized by enthusiasm and a strong commitment to our patients. We operate in interdisciplinary teams consisting of special educators, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physiotherapists, providing services to patients and their relatives both individually and in groups. Our clinic serves children and adolescents aged 0-18 living in the Järva district and Sundbyberg municipality. You will receive collegial support from other practitioners in the unit and have the opportunity for supervision within the team. Responsibilities: You will have individual counseling sessions with children/adolescents and provide support to guardians in their parenting roles. You will also offer advice, support, and consultation to individuals in the patient’s network, such as relatives and other care providers. The work involves monitoring the patient’s development, providing support to prevent and reduce challenging behaviors, strengthening communicative interactions, and informing about the impact of disabilities on daily life. Your role may also include leading groups and lectures. Our patients often have complex needs that require collaboration, not only within the team but also with neighboring care providers, municipal services, and other authorities. The tasks are varied and require flexibility, as you will meet patients not only at the habilitation center but also, when necessary, in their local environment. All interventions provided are documented in our journal system Take Care. We work systematically according to a structured care process and use habilitation programs to support the planning and implementation of interventions. We are looking for: We are seeking a licensed psychologist with at least five years of professional experience and expertise in autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities. You should have a good understanding of TBA as a method and be interested in and willing to work with challenging and complex behaviors. We prefer you to have experience working with children and adolescents aged 0-18 with neuropsychiatric diagnoses. It is beneficial if you also have experience in collaboration, leading groups, and conducting developmental assessments. You will belong to our IFRN team but should be open to receiving patients from the autism team as needed. You are an initiative-taking person, interested in development, and motivated to find solutions focused on the patient. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team and take responsibility for planning, developing, and advancing patient work in a structured manner. You are interested in providing group interventions, have good computer skills, and experience working with digital meeting tools, as many meetings are held remotely. With us, you need to have the ability to collaborate and be driven by collegial learning, as you will work closely with other professional categories in your unit. Personal suitability is of great importance. Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis during the application period. Permanent position, full-time. Start date according to agreement. For patient-related work within the Stockholm County healthcare area: - A background check will be conducted before a hiring decision according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment. - Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment. - In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language at a C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required.
