About the Workplace Ale has a Comprehensive Child and Student Health Organization, which Includes the Municipality's School Nurses, School Psychologists, School Counselors, and School Speech Therapists. We are Approximately 30 People Forming a Cross-Professional Group Primarily Focused on Health Promotion and Prevention for the Municipality's Students. The Unit is a Resource for Development Issues and Coordination of Various Assignments. We Seek Someone Who Wants to Make a Difference and Support Students' Development Toward Educational Goals. The Student Health Team Meets Several Times a Month, Both in Full Group and by Profession. These Meetings are Appreciated for Community, Reflection, and Collaborative Development and Quality Work. We are a Diverse Group in Age and Experience Who Enjoy Each Other's Company! Currently, Central Child and Student Health in Ale Has Five Psychologist Positions, Plus One Psychologist Dedicated to Skolfam. These Psychologists Have Multiple Years of Experience in Schools and Related Fields, with One Serving as a PLA Coordinator. Due to Retirement, We Are Now Seeking a New Colleague for Our Team! In Ale, the School Psychologist Role is Well-Established and Appreciated. The Psychology Group Meets Regularly for Coordination, Development Work, and Shared Reflection on Our Assignments. School Psychologists Work with Preschool, Primary School, Adapted Primary School, and High School. Job Responsibilities We Seek Someone Who Wants to Be an Active Participant in Health Promotion and Preventive Work. You Will Contribute to Increased Understanding of Preschool and School Responsibilities Toward Students, Parents, and External Actors. The Pedagogical and Psychological Perspective Will Be the Focus of All Interventions. Responsibilities Include Providing Psychological Consultation and Guidance to Staff to Enhance Their Understanding and Insight into Students' Different Conditions and Needs, and Their Own Significant Role in That Relationship. Another Important Task is Conducting Psychological Assessments, Especially for Admission to Adapted Primary School. You Will Actively Work with Your Student Health Team Colleagues to Remove Learning Barriers by Analyzing and Assessing the Needs of Students, Groups, and the Organization. You Can Conduct Educational Interventions Individually or in Teams, Collaborating with Internal and External Actors. School Psychologists Also Have a Crucial Role in Collaboration with Regional Primary and Specialist Care Facilities. Qualifications You Are a Licensed Psychologist with Strong Knowledge of Child and Youth Development and Basic Understanding of Consultation Methodology. Previous Experience Working with Children and Youth, Preferably in Preschool and/or School, is Advantageous. Excellent Swedish Language Skills are Required. You Must Effectively Communicate Psychological Knowledge to Other Professional Groups and External Actors. You Need to Work Both Independently and in Teams. The Ability to Vary Work Methods and Strong Organizational and Planning Skills are Essential, as School Psychology Covers a Broad Area with Diverse Tasks.
