About this role
Child and Family Health in Söderhamn is a psychosocial service targeting expectant parents, children aged 0-12, and their parents. The clinic serves as a first point of contact for expectant parents or children with concerns related to family situations or the child's own wellbeing. The service works together with Söderhamn Youth Clinic as a first-line care provider for children and young people with mental health issues aged 0-17. Interventions are offered through a stepped care approach, initially as digital psychoeducation individually or in groups, or by booking an individual meeting at the appropriate care level. Working as a psychologist with us involves contact with children, their parents, and pregnant/newly delivered parents.

WORK TASKS
The role of psychologist/PTP psychologist with us is varied and educational, where you work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
As a psychologist/PTP psychologist, you will among other things work with:
• Early interventions to prevent mental health issues in children and expectant parents
• Needs-adapted treatments for mild to moderate mental health issues at individual and family levels
• Developmental assessments for children up to five years old
• Supervising midwives at maternity clinics and nurses at child health centers.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking someone who is flexible with a solution-focused approach. You see opportunities in changes and can adjust priorities when needed. You care about and want to help others, and you are attentive in meeting people. You have the ability to plan and structure your work efficiently and can independently solve problems that arise.
In the role of psychologist/PTP psychologist, you should:
• Be a licensed psychologist, or hold a psychology degree as we also welcome applications from PTP psychologists.
For this position, it is meritorious if you have knowledge in trauma, maternal healthcare, and NPF (Neuropsychiatric Disorders). Experience working with children, autism assessments, anxiety/depression, and having been a supervisor or group leader is also considered meritorious. Additionally, being parent support trained, having basic psychotherapeutic education step 1 CBT, experience in treatment work with children and youth, and knowledge of child psychiatry are meritorious. Strong skills in developmental and neuropsychology and/or autism are also valued. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
