The service has been operational for nearly two years and is in the ongoing process of establishing the new level of care within psychiatry. Would you like to join us on this journey?
Our Operations
The eating disorder care within child and adolescent psychiatry is available in outpatient, day care, and inpatient settings. Our expanded mandate regarding national highly specialized care comes from the National Board of Health and Welfare and involves assessing continued treatment, providing around-the-clock care under specific conditions, and being responsible for parts of the subsequent follow-up for patients who have been offered treatment. Given that the patients in this unit have severe eating disorders, this requires individual adaptation and frequent assessments/evaluations of treatment outcomes.

In your role, you will work with your colleagues to conduct assessments, plan, and implement treatment within around-the-clock care/NHV. As a psychologist/psychotherapist/experienced practitioner, you are expected to play a central role in the treatment work and ensure the treatment processes in specific cases, as well as the development of general content in care and treatment methods. You will participate in quality work within your area of expertise and work on evaluation, development of the care process, and implementation of evidence-based care. In the interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with doctors, psychologists, specialist nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, caregivers, social workers, dietitians, and physiotherapists. You will also work closely with colleagues in outpatient care.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with relevant higher education and training/competence in psychotherapy/psychological treatment. You may be a licensed psychologist or have another higher education with further training in psychotherapy/psychological treatment. A suitable higher education combined with extensive experience in relevant treatment work may be deemed equivalent. The important thing is that you can take on a role as a senior practitioner in the unit. Experience with the current patient group or other complex and difficult psychiatric issues is highly meritorious. It is also advantageous if you have previously worked with patients in around-the-clock care.
Your Competence
You are confident in your professional role, which reflects in your interaction with families in crisis. You focus on the patient and take responsibility in your work. You are someone who can successfully balance structure with creativity/flexibility. Beyond your professional expertise, you are an engaged and positive colleague who inspires others and contributes to a good work environment. The job also requires a strong ability to endure.
