Your workplace
The clinic is organized within the Adult Psychiatry department in Region Värmland. In addition to the clinic in Torsby, there is psychiatric outpatient care in Hagfors, Arvika, Kristinehamn, Säffle, and Karlstad. We work interdisciplinary, and our team consists of nurses, social workers, psychologists, doctors, medical administrators, and occupational therapists. Our work is characterized by a strong patient focus, collaboration with relatives, and various partners.
Here, you will work in a highly skilled team that prioritizes the best interests of the patient. You will be introduced by experienced and knowledgeable staff members, and you will receive regular group supervision. This team-based approach ensures that we leverage each other's expertise and foster a good collaboration within the team.
Your responsibilities
As a nurse with us, you will work both with general psychiatric outpatient tasks and in a mobile team during evenings and weekends. Your tasks will include conducting assessments, medication distribution and follow-up, telephone consultations, specimen collection, follow-ups after inpatient care, unplanned contacts when a patient's condition worsens, and stabilizing conversations.
You will follow the patient to ensure cohesive care and treatment with continuity in our contacts. As a nurse, you will work in a clinic characterized by teamwork, good communication, and high competence.
Your qualifications and competencies
We are looking for you who are a psychiatric nurse or a licensed nurse with a strong interest in psychiatry. Previous experience in psychiatric settings is an advantage. Since the role includes travel, you must have a valid driver's license (Category B).
Region Värmland regularly offers specialist education positions. This means that as a licensed nurse, you will study in a specialist education program while retaining your salary.
