About the Role As a Testing Engineer, you will play a central role in our testing laboratory, where we test our products for corrosion resistance, mechanical, and metallurgical properties. You will be responsible for ensuring that our processes comply with applicable standards and requirements according to ISO 17025, current STAFS regulations, and other governing methods. In close collaboration with the lab manager and your colleagues, you will lead and participate in efforts related to continuous improvements, work environment, and safety in the laboratory. This position is a fixed-term full-time employment until December 31, 2026 (or by agreement). Working hours are during the day. Examples of Responsibilities • Actively participate in Outokumpu's safety initiatives • Ensure and further develop our accreditation according to ISO 17025 • Method development and improvement of testing procedures • Participate in internal and external audits • Manage deviations and customer complaints • Drive and participate in improvement projects related to quality and safety Who Are You? To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you have a post-secondary engineering degree in materials technology, testing technology, metallurgy, or a related field. Experience in the following areas is advantageous: • Work in an accredited environment (ISO 17025) • Quality assurance and improvement work within industry • Work environment and safety issues We are looking for someone who: • Has a strong drive and quality awareness • Enjoys collaborating and contributing to common goals • Is meticulous, analytical, and customer-focused • Has good IT skills and an interest in technical systems • Has a genuine interest in metallurgical processes and industrial production • For this position, fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required.
