The Operations and Management Support unit is a support unit that works to increase the office's efficiency and delivery capacity. Within our unit, there is a project planner who coordinates work within our established steering group structure.
We are now looking for a project planner to work on the Ostlänken project and urban development in Butängen. Ostlänken, a new double-track railway between Järna and Linköping, will bring significant benefits to Norrköping Municipality.
The increased capacity in the railway system is a prerequisite for the development of the entire region. The Swedish Transport Administration and Norrköping Municipality have made significant progress in planning, and several railway plans along the route have been legally approved. Construction in central Norrköping is scheduled to begin in 2028.
Norrköping Municipality has been working for several years to maximize the city's benefits from the new railway. With the railway passing through central Norrköping, a new station will be built, and a completely new central urban area will emerge.
The Ostlänken program and urban development in Butängen have their own organization that now needs additional support with administrative tasks.
As a project planner within the program, you will have the opportunity to help build the structure for administrative work while aligning this with already established working methods within the Community Building Office.
Your responsibilities
Your main task as a project planner is to support and administer work within the Ostlänken project and urban development in Butängen. This role involves supporting the program organization’s work by planning group meetings, preparing agendas, and taking notes.
Furthermore, you will ensure that the program's projects are up-to-date in our digital support systems. You will provide support to program participants in the project support system Antura as well as M365.
You will work on internal communication and quality assurance within the program organization, and we welcome your suggestions on how this can be developed and structured.
In addition, you will collaborate with other project planners in the unit's established steering groups related to the community building process.
Other tasks may include creating surveys, compiling statistics and follow-ups, as well as booking and orders related to various events.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in community building or another education that we consider equivalent.
You have several years of experience in administrative work, preferably within the community building sector.
You are accustomed to working with various digital support systems. It is advantageous if you have previously worked with project support systems such as Antura, and we would like you to be comfortable using Teams for file sharing, creating teams, and training others in usage.
Experience working in a politically governed organization, preferably a municipality, and experience in project work are merits.
As a person, you are responsible, communicative, and structured. You have a good ability to plan and organize your work and meet the expectations set for the role.
You are service-oriented and attentive to needs, as well as skilled in collaborating with others, where you take initiative and solve problems smoothly.
You are flexible and can easily adapt your working methods to the situation. We also believe you thrive in a high-information flow environment.
The job requires you to have a very good command of Swedish, both spoken and written, as you will need to quickly summarize large amounts of information into concise notes.
You also need to have good knowledge of English, as parts of the assignment involve work related to the EU.
