About this role
Region Gävleborg has a government mandate to drive regional development work in the county. Our vision is an open, innovative, and sustainable Gävleborg, which we achieve through collaboration with community stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels.
We are now looking for someone who, together with us in the regional development administration, wants to contribute to strengthening and developing Gävleborg County. We are a team of around 60 employees organized into three departments, and you will be placed in the department responsible for skills supply and business development.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The department currently runs several projects aimed at developing methods, working practices, and forms of collaboration that help individuals who are far from the labor market come closer to employment. These initiatives are often carried out in partnership with the county's municipalities and target particularly vulnerable groups.
As a project manager with us, you will:
• Initiate, plan, and coordinate a specific project and its initiatives
• Collaborate locally, regionally, nationally, and, in some cases, internationally to strengthen development work
• Analyze and communicate statistics and reports as a basis for decisions and development initiatives
• Communicate and disseminate the results of development work
• Provide expert support in regional development and contribute to development processes.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
We are looking for someone who is structured, flexible, and has a good overall perspective in their role. You easily adapt to changing circumstances, see opportunities for development, and work in a solution-focused manner. You thrive in collaboration with others but also take responsibility for independent tasks. The role requires you to plan, prioritize, and follow up on work in a methodical and efficient way. You have a strong ability to build and maintain relationships and understand the importance of networks in driving development work.
In the role of project manager, you should have:
• Relevant academic education or equivalent professional experience
• Experience working in a politically governed organization and public administration
• Good knowledge of regional development work and sustainability
• Good knowledge of and experience with projects funded by the European Social Fund
• Strong communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
For this position, it is advantageous if you have a B driver's license, as travel is required, primarily within the county.
