About this role
Are you ready for a greater challenge? The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest agency with approximately 40,000 employees across the country. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society.
The Local Supply Unit is divided into seven sections and a development section, with each section having an administrative group and a project group. A total of about 130 employees work within the unit. The sections are organized into seven groups – North, Central, Bergslagen, Stockholm, West, South, and East. The project groups manage the agency's nationally funded local projects.
You will belong to the East project group, which, after recruitment, will consist of four project managers and a group leader. The property portfolio is diverse, including older buildings from the 1970s as well as new and modern police stations. You will oversee projects from early stages to the move-in of operations. The design of today's police stations includes many special functions such as holding cells, shooting ranges, and forensic facilities. One of your tasks as a project manager is to plan for efficient and legally secure flows both inside and outside the police station. Your work will include investigating and anchoring future space needs and space design with the core operations. As a project manager, you will be involved in procurement processes and the execution of construction contracts. You will be responsible for compiling and quality assuring program documents and room function programs. Finally, you will be responsible for the move-in in collaboration with the operations.
Your main responsibilities will include:

• Establishing and monitoring project budgets in collaboration with the controller
• Presenting at steering group meetings
• Participating in the procurement of contracts
• Driving negotiations with internal and external parties
• Collaborating with property owners, consultants, municipalities, suppliers, and internal specialist functions as well as the police's core operations
