The IT Support department is tasked with developing and managing overarching and shared processes for the area. We are also responsible for services within these domains. Our operations are primarily located in Sundsvall, Härnösand, Örnsköldsvik, and Sollefteå. The mission of the IT department is to deliver high-quality and secure IT services to the region's operations. Deliveries are made through projects, management, and support to a complex and vital operation. IT also largely functions as a client organization since the region's IT operations are managed by an external provider.
Approximately 90 people work within IT, all with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We strive for an open work environment where we help each other grow. We are now seeking a Technical Project Manager for the IT department. This position is a permanent, full-time role with a start date according to agreement from February 1, 2026.
**Project Manager for the IT Department, Region Västernorrland**
**Responsibilities**
We are looking for a Technical IT Project Manager who will play a central role in leading and delivering our IT projects. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects according to timelines and budgets, as well as ensuring that projects meet our high-quality standards. Your tasks will include:
- Leading project teams and collaborating with various departments to ensure successful project deliveries
- Developing and monitoring project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Identifying and managing risks as well as resolving issues that may arise during the project
- Regularly communicating with stakeholders and keeping them informed about project progress
- Ensuring that projects meet technical requirements and quality standards
- Driving projects according to our established project management model, PPS

**Qualifications**
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a post-secondary education in the IT field, or equivalent knowledge from work experience or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer
- Has experience leading technical IT projects in the public sector
- Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Holds a valid B driver's license
