Project Manager for Structural Maintenance in Southern Region

Responsibilities

The Maintenance business area is responsible for managing, maintaining, and developing the existing and future road and railway systems through procurement, management, and follow-up of maintenance projects. Within the Infrastructure Technology unit in the south, we work on the maintenance of structures (bridges, tunnels, rock cuts) and technical installations. Our maintenance work includes assessing conditions, planning and implementing preventive and corrective actions, as well as replacing existing structures.

Your tasks will involve planning, leading, and executing projects related to structures of varying sizes and complexities according to directives and specifications, with a focus on time, cost, and content. You will engage in procurement, project design, risk management, communication planning, follow-up, and be responsible for lessons learned. You will have technical specialists, consultants, and contractors to assist you. You will also interact with the general public, contractors, the media, and others within your defined area of responsibility.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, your leadership abilities are crucial. You communicate in a responsive and clear manner. Additionally, you create engagement and participation and are confident in delegating and reporting results. You are proactive, structured, and possess strong analytical skills. Since the position involves a lot of collaboration with internal support functions, external consultants, and contractors, we place great importance on your collaboration skills as well as your ability to plan, lead, and follow up.

In addition to the personal qualities, we require:

  • University or college education of 180 credits (120 points) with a focus on construction technology, or other education that we assess, together with your experience, is equivalent to the educational requirement.
  • Several years of relevant work experience in a leading role (project manager, site manager, or equivalent) where you have been responsible for: executing maintenance measures on bridges, roads, or railways, or alternatively new construction/reinvestment of structures (bridges, tunnels, etc.).
  • A valid driver's license for passenger cars.
  • Good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Knowledge of contract law within AB/ABT/ABK and AMA.
  • Experience working on bridge projects (construction/operation and maintenance/inspection).
  • Training in concrete class 1.
