Project Manager for Structures Maintenance in the Southern Region

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Operations area is responsible for managing, maintaining, and developing the current and future road and railway systems through procurement, management, and follow-up of maintenance projects. Within the Infrastructure Technology unit in the south, we work on the maintenance of structures (bridges, tunnels, rock cuts) and technical installations. Our maintenance work includes assessing the condition, planning, and executing preventive and corrective actions, as well as replacing existing structures.

Your responsibilities include planning, leading, and executing projects involving structures of varying sizes and complexities according to directives and specifications with a focus on time, cost, and content. You will work with procurement, project design, risk management, communication planning, follow-up, and be responsible for feedback on experiences. You will have the support of technical specialists, consultants, and contractors. You will also engage with the public, contractors, media, etc., within your defined area of responsibility.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, your leadership skills are crucial. You communicate in a receptive and clear manner. Furthermore, you create engagement and participation, and you are confident in delegating and reporting results. You are proactive, structured, and possess strong analytical abilities. Since the position involves a lot of collaboration with internal support functions, external consultants, and contractors, we place great importance on your collaborative skills, as well as your ability to plan, lead, and follow up.

In addition to personal qualities, we want you to have:

  • A university or higher education equivalent to 180 credits (120 points) with a focus on building technology, or other education that we, together with your experience, assess as equivalent to the educational requirement.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in a leadership role (project manager, site manager, or similar) where you have been responsible for: execution of maintenance work on bridges, roads or railways, or new construction/reinvestment of structures (bridges, tunnels, etc.)
  • A valid driver's license for passenger cars.
  • Proficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is a merit if you have:

  • Knowledge of contract law within AB/ABT/ABK and AMA.
  • Experience working with bridge projects (construction/operations and maintenance/inspection).
  • Education in concrete class 1.
