Welcome to the Department of Culture, Sports, and Recreation. The department consists of six divisions. Four of the department's divisions are primarily responsible for the Cultural Board's own operations: Uppsala Libraries, Uppsala Leisure Services, Uppsala Art and Cultural Heritage, and Uppsala Culture School. Two divisions within the department serve as secretariats working directly on behalf of the department's management and handle cases for the Cultural Board as well as the Sports and Recreation Board. The climate issue is one of the most important challenges to address on a global scale. Efforts need to be increased at all levels, not least at the local level. An important prerequisite is that information about climate issues, the climate transition, and sustainability is accessible to the public. We have been tasked with establishing the "Climate Hub" - one of the municipality's most important forums for communication about climate issues. By providing a platform for showcasing results and actions, announcing opportunities for participation in activities, promoting collaborations among various stakeholders, and initiating new partnerships within the field, we aim to strengthen the municipality's communication regarding climate and sustainability matters. Description of Job Responsibilities Collaborate – Develop – Communicate! As the project manager for the Climate Hub, your main duties and areas of responsibility will include: • Actively driving the effort to establish the Climate Hub as a central point for the municipality's communication to the public regarding climate issues. • Establishing the activities proposed in the pre-study. • Collaborating with various stakeholders within universities, civil society, and public organizations in climate and environmental communication for the development and anchoring of the new operations. • Developing activities and exhibitions. • Seeking external funding for the development of the operations, workshops, and more. As a project manager, you will be part of the working group at Biotopia and the Nature School and are expected to contribute expertise and experience whenever needed. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a completed academic degree at the master's level relevant to the position. To succeed in this role, you need to have at least three years of experience in work related to the content of the job. We also expect you to have at least three years of project management experience, for example in exhibition production and/or working with environmental communication for the public. Experience in public administration; collaboration with the research community, universities, and civil society is also meritorious. The work requires that you have very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written forms. It is an advantage if you also have knowledge of additional languages. As a person, you take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You are goal-oriented and focused. Additionally, you work well with others. You listen, communicate, and resolve any conflicts in a constructive manner.
