Project Manager Production Mälarbanan As a project manager at Trafikverket, you help facilitate everyday life for residents and businesses across Sweden by contributing to future infrastructure. Work Tasks Mälarbanan is an important part of the railway network, connecting Örebro, Västerås, and Enköping with Stockholm. It is also part of Stockholm's local commuter train network. The program covers approximately 20 kilometers of railway between Tomteboda and Kallhäll in northwest Stockholm and is one of the country's most heavily trafficked routes. As a project manager, you will have many collaborative interfaces both internally and externally, making this the perfect role for someone who places good cooperation high among project success factors. This may involve contracted suppliers, the public, municipalities, and other stakeholder types. It is crucial to ensure all involved parties feel heard and to be proactive in prioritizing, managing boundaries, and making decisions. You will be responsible for a specific contract on Mälarbanan and have a team of construction managers, specialists, and other competencies around you. In addition, you will contribute to the project by: • Actively steering and following up the project regarding time, cost, and content • Working actively with financial forecasts • Taking an active role in developing tender documentation, supplier dialogues, etc. • Setting project frameworks with clear collaboration forms and a business-oriented approach to suppliers • Proactively addressing risk, safety, and work environment in projects Qualifications Your leadership is characterized by a humble and inclusive approach, where you create security and build trust through structure and order. Through clear communication about expectations and goals, you delegate and follow up on project progress. You have excellent analytical ability enabling you to make necessary prioritizations to deliver. To succeed in the assignment, you also need a holistic perspective, look ahead, and act proactively. We are seeking candidates who: • Have a university degree of at least 180 ECTS credits in civil engineering, road and water engineering, or equivalent experience • Have good project management knowledge covering time, cost, and scope • Have several years of relevant experience leading large construction and infrastructure projects • Have experience managing contractual issues and negotiations • Communicate well verbally and in writing in Swedish and English • Hold a valid driver's license Preferred additional experience: • Expertise in planning and conducting major procurements • Experience from both client and supplier sides • Experience in railway projects or complex urban environment projects Application Questions you answer when submitting your application will form the basis of our initial selection.
