About this role
Are you passionate about LGBTQI+ rights, grassroots engagement, and queer culture? Do you have experience creating inclusive meeting spaces and organizing public events, perhaps even pride festivals? Then you are the person we are looking for!
RFSL Luleå and northern Norrbotten County is a non-profit LGBTQI organization that advocates for the rights of homosexuals, bisexuals, transgender individuals, queers, and intersex people. Our work is based out of the Rainbow House in Luleå, which serves not only as an office but also as a community meeting place. Our activities span across all of Norrbotten, where we are present through pride festivals in five municipalities, youth and Newcomers programs, café evenings, lectures, and support initiatives. A couple of times each semester, we also organize Club Chroma in Luleå, the county's only LGBTQI+ club.
For us, quality and professionalism mean not only elevating our public events but also working closely with grassroots initiatives and prioritizing the target groups that need us the most.
In recent years, our workforce has grown to include five full-time positions, one of which is a program manager with employer responsibilities. We strive to run a sustainably funded operation with secure employment. We are a close-knit team actively working to nurture our work environment, care for one another, and have a great time at work!
