The Municipal Federation of Jämtland Härjedalen is now seeking a project manager for an ESF-funded project focused on promoting school attendance in primary schools.
About the project
School absenteeism is a growing problem with serious consequences for both individuals and society. The project "Attendance Promotion Work in Primary Schools in Jämtland Härjedalen" aims to develop and implement user-friendly methods and materials that support schools' systematic work on attendance culture as early as the initial school years. The project is carried out in broad collaboration with several of the county's municipalities, Friluftsfrämjandet, RF-SISU, Mittuniversitetet, and Länsförsäkringar.
Responsibilities
As a project manager, you will work together with co-financiers to:
• Map and inventory existing methods and materials for attendance promotion work, both regionally, nationally, and internationally.
• Adapt and further develop these for primary schools in Jämtland County.
• Disseminate and implement the materials in relevant networks and forums, as well as through school visits and presentations.
• Participate in networks and contribute to the project's qualitative and quantitative monitoring and evaluation.
• Collaborate with school staff and other stakeholders to create a long-term sustainable attendance culture.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
• Experience working in primary education, preferably at the primary school level.
• Relevant university education.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Strong administrative capabilities.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
Meritorious:
• Experience in externally funded projects.
• Strong network connections within schools and education in Jämtland County.
• Experience in development work related to school attendance.
Personal qualities
