Fibnet is now looking for a project manager with an electrical background who wants to drive projects from bidding to delivery, with responsibility for both finances, technology, and people.
About the position
As a project manager at Fibnet, you will have a broad and business-oriented role where you lead projects in fiber and electrical cable contracting, both with and without excavation. You will be responsible for the overall project: budgeting, planning, execution, finances, and follow-up. You will be a central figure in a team of five and will work closely with your colleagues.
The position is based at Fibnet's office in Sundsvall, with work primarily in Västernorrland and surrounding areas. Occasional travel and overnight stays may occur, but the role is mainly local.
Your main responsibilities
• Manage finances, timelines, resource utilization, and quality
• Lead projects from procurement to final delivery
• Handle contracts and procurements with clients and subcontractors
• Coordinate excavation and installation work, permits, and traffic plans
• Participate in bidding processes and budgeting for new assignments
• Follow up and document projects according to AMA and EBR
• Supervise installers and regularly be in the field
The role is both operational and business-oriented, where you are responsible for your own projects, but also play an important part in developing the company and its business moving forward.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a technical background in electrical, fiber, or contracting, and several years of experience in project management. You are accustomed to taking responsibility for planning, finances, and execution, and are motivated by creating structure and driving work forward.
We believe you have:
• At least 3 years of experience as a project manager in electrical/fiber/contracting
• An electrical background, preferably with an ECY certificate or equivalent
• Knowledge of contract law (AB04, ABT06)
• Experience with EBR, BAS-U/BAS-P, and cable or ground installation
• Good computer skills
• A valid driver's license (B)
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
You are business-minded and structured, with the ability to drive projects independently. At the same time, you are communicative and relationship-building, thriving in a varied work environment between the office and the field. You take initiative, assume responsibility, and appreciate working in a smaller organization where teamwork and contribution to the whole are valued.
