Project Manager Vessels

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager for Vessels to the Bus, Commuter, and Marine Group for an Authority within transportation. This is a consulting assignment. The work location is Stockholm. The position is full-time. The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which requires a high level of flexibility and teamwork. Assignment The role involves leading the technical work within the project for the Procurement of Archipelago Vessels. The assignment includes developing system and vessel concept descriptions, breaking these down into requirements, conducting technical investigations, and ensuring that the project adheres to relevant guidelines, safety requirements, and processes. The role also includes managing project activities from option selection to handover, procurements according to LUF, risk and requirement work, as well as extensive coordination and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities - Responsible for the development and anchoring of the system description and vessel concept description, as well as breaking down the concept into requirements for the procurement. - Lead necessary technical investigations and conduct market dialogues together with project management to develop vessel concepts and requirements. - Lead and execute projects according to project specifications (goals, scope, time, cost, quality) and establish and continuously update project documentation. - Plan the project from option selection to handover together with project management and conduct procurements according to LUF with support from other project members. - Ensure that the project is conducted in accordance with PPH, safety management systems, and requirements within environmental and work environment, including receiving and delegating work environment and safety tasks. - Ensure the handover of the project and that deliveries are made according to project orders, as well as closing the project, compiling experiences, and delivering a final report. - Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders in line with project management's governance and contribute to creating a project culture that follows the values of SAFE. - Responsible for requirements work throughout the requirements lifecycle and continuously manage risk work. - Support project management in developing necessary decision-making materials. - Responsible for resource planning and management, including the procurement of consultants, adaptation of assignment specifications and requirement profiles, and onboarding of project members in consultation with project management. Requirements (Mandatory) - Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. - Master's degree in Naval Architecture or equivalent engineering education where you have gained the competencies needed for ship design, construction, hydrodynamics, structural calculations, material selection, etc. At least 9 years of experience working in vessel-related projects involving renovations and/or new builds of vessels and/or vessel procurements. At least 5 years of experience working in vessel-related projects in a technically leading position with renovations and/or new builds and/or vessel procurements. Must be able to provide 2 references for assignments in the last 5 years in a leading technical position involving renovations and/or new builds and/or vessel procurements. Desirable - Experience in building vessels with electric propulsion (experience in renovations, new designs, or requirements related to electric propulsion, at least one project resulting in a finished product). - Experience in developing requirement specifications for vessel procurement (worked in at least one project/operation with formulating requirements for vessel procurement). - Experience working with shipyards outside Sweden (at least one project lasting at least 1 year).
