About this role
Our Employment Offer
Do you want to contribute to a safer working environment for healthcare staff in Region Stockholm? Do you have experience in operational development, implementation, and training within healthcare or occupational safety? CAMM is now seeking an engaged project manager for an important development assignment – to implement and coordinate fit testing of respiratory protective equipment in the companies and administrations of Region Stockholm.
Description
The pandemic highlighted many challenges regarding respiratory protection for healthcare employees. The Swedish Work Environment Authority has clarified regulations from 2025 concerning measures to reduce the risk of airborne infections in the workplace. This means that employers must ensure that respiratory protection is personally fitted and seals properly during use.
CAMM has been tasked with coordinating this work across the region's operations by developing guidelines, training, and routines, as well as conducting fit tests. To strengthen preparedness, fit testing will occur in the field, with supplementary tests conducted centrally at CAMM. A significant focus will therefore be on training local test leaders. The goal is for all employees who need respiratory protection to have a properly fitting mask for reliable protection.
Job Description
As a project manager, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing the project in close collaboration with the region's various healthcare operations, infection control, and HR. You will:
- Develop routines and processes for fit testing of respiratory protection within Region Stockholm.
- Develop and coordinate training on fit testing of respiratory protection.
- Evaluate and follow up on results with a focus on implementation, quality, and safety.
- Anchor the work with chief physicians, infection control, and union representatives.
- Provide medical expertise within the operations.
You will work closely with experts in occupational safety and respiratory protection from CAMM and support these working groups (but are not primarily responsible for):
- Conducting fit tests together with occupational hygienists.
- Contributing to risk assessments and recommendations regarding the choice of respiratory protection.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant higher education in healthcare, health, occupational safety, or equivalent.
- Experience in operational development or implementation work in healthcare.
- A good understanding of infection control, healthcare hygiene, or occupational hygiene.
- Practical experience in teaching, mentoring, or training initiatives.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong administrative skills and familiarity with Office 365 and digital tools.
Meritorious qualifications include:
- Certification as a nurse, biomedical analyst, or other healthcare profession.
- Further education and professional experience in infection control or healthcare hygiene.
- Experience with respiratory protection or fit testing.
- Experience leading implementation or change projects.
- Knowledge of the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2024:1 or equivalent).
Personal Attributes
We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are structured, pedagogical, and have a strong ability to plan and drive projects independently. You easily build trust and collaborate with various professions and levels within the organization. You are motivated by contributing to an improved working environment.

Employment Type: Special fixed-term employment full-time, or alternatively a training position for one year, with the possibility of extension. Start Date: As soon as possible or by agreement. Location: CAMM, Region Stockholm, with operations throughout the region.
