Energy Project Manager

**About the Position** Assignment Period: December 7, 2025 - December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension. As the Technology Unit develops and expands its broad scope of assignments, our client is seeking a project manager or equivalent with a focus on water and energy optimization. The Technology Unit, to which this role belongs, is responsible for technical installations and their support systems, which includes planning and managing operations/energy optimization and maintenance, as well as meeting associated regulatory requirements. The unit also represents the client's perspective with business-oriented requirements, monitoring, and verification of functions to ensure the company's responsibilities as a property owner, employer, landlord, and developer in terms of quality, environment, workplace safety, and sustainable economy. The role reports to the Group Manager responsible for the Operations Center, which consists of several engineers/technical specialists. Within the Technology Unit, there is also the Operations Technology group with several operations engineers/technicians. **Description of the Assignment/Role** The role is part of the Technology Unit's Operations Center and collaborates with various roles/departments within the company. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on ongoing and future energy initiatives to achieve the City's goals. In this role, you will have a coordinating and leading function and will be responsible for driving projects from start to finish. The work is carried out in close collaboration within the Technology Unit, the management organization, and contracted contractors. **Main Responsibilities:** - Planning for the upcoming year's energy work, where the adjustment of heating systems is a significant part. - When planning for the adjustment of heating systems, the specific needs for renovation and adjustment of particular properties will be weighed together with other parameters. - Prepare documentation and apply for project funding to plan, initiate, implement, and complete energy projects. - Implementation: Maintain and update plans for the various energy projects. - Provide necessary documentation to contractors to ensure smooth project execution. - Receive and administer documentation after work completion. - Inform internally about ongoing work. - Follow up on project finances and report status in various internal forums. - Coordinate internal contacts and inquiries. Additionally, other tasks within the unit may include: - Developing the operations by establishing routines, instructions, and participating in and leading various technical investigations. - Contributing to experience feedback and suggesting improvements in processes and methods. **Location** The role is based at one of the client's offices, with the entire Stockholm area as the work zone in consultation with the assignment manager. Some parts of the work can be performed remotely, with regular on-site meetings. **Is remote work possible?** Yes, the work is adapted in collaboration with the assignment manager and their organization. **Qualifications** **Mandatory Requirements:** - Relevant higher education/university degree in energy systems or equivalent knowledge level acquired in another way, as assessed by the client. - 10 years of experience in a similar role within operations/technical management, project management, or related fields in the real estate industry, focused on residential companies or equivalent as assessed by the client. - Good knowledge of laws, regulations, contract law, and standards within HVAC, energy, etc. - Experience in project management of extensive renovations and adjustments of heating systems in larger residential companies. - Extensive experience with large-scale projects aimed at optimizing hot water and heating systems in apartments. - Experience with contractual issues regarding energy requirements and verification. - Very good knowledge of financial management of projects. - Knowledge of property economics, investment calculations, and financial assessments. - Good IT system skills and administrative experience, with familiarity in digital working methods. - Strong ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. - Requirement: Driver's License B **Other Desirable Specialist Areas:** - Knowledge of procurement under LOU and contract negotiations. **Personal Attributes** - You work independently, take initiative, and drive issues to completion. - You communicate clearly and build strong, long-term relationships—both internally and externally. - With an eye for both detail and the big picture, you create structure and order in your work. - You are a problem solver who can act operationally while thinking strategically.
