Do you want to lead the power grids of the future?
Sweden is electrifying at record speed – and Eltel is at the heart of this development. We design, build, and maintain power grids that make communities work, from north to south. We are now looking for an experienced and driven project manager for our District North. Here, you will be a key player in our mission for E.ON, where we build and renew power grids for the future.
About the role
As a Project Manager in power distribution, you will have full responsibility for your projects – from planning to handover. You lead, monitor, and develop the work to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
You work closely with our technicians, customers, and subcontractors and play a central role in ensuring that everything functions – technically, economically, and practically. A typical week includes both project management in the office and follow-ups in the field, with at least one site visit each week.
Examples of tasks:
- Lead and coordinate projects within power distribution up to 36 kV (new construction, reconstruction, and maintenance).
- Responsible for schedule, budget, resource allocation, follow-up, and risk management.
- Maintain daily contact with technicians and ensure a safe, secure, and efficient working environment.
- Participate in construction and customer meetings, handle invoicing and reporting.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Contribute to bidding work and tender processes (AB 04 / ABT 06).
In short – you ensure the overall coherence and ensure that projects run smoothly from start to finish.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Who are you?
You are a self-sufficient and committed project manager who enjoys working towards clear goals. You thrive when given responsibility, have a knack for collaboration, and build strong relationships with both colleagues and customers.
To succeed in this role, you need:
- Experience in power distribution, for example as a project manager, electrical designer, planner, or distribution electrician.
- Knowledge of contract law (AB 04 / ABT 06).
- Education or experience in BAS-U/BAS-P, AMA, ESA, and EBR.
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially Excel and other Office Suite programs.
- A driver's license (Category B).
- Fluent Swedish and good English in both speech and writing.
Meritorious:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Project management training and experience in financial monitoring/results management.
About District North
You will belong to the Power Nord department and report to the Department Manager. The district encompasses all of Norrland, with offices in Sundsvall, Östersund, and Umeå. You will be based in the Umeå office. Travel within the region is required. The projects vary in size and scope – from short connection jobs to larger new construction projects with multiple active teams at the same time.
