About this role

Property Sector is one of five sectors in Technical Management at Östersund Municipality. Östersund Municipality has over 5,000 employees and aims to provide good public service to its residents. Technical Management consists of approximately 700 people and delivers technical services in areas such as properties, water, cleaning and service, meals, waste management, and parks. Property Sector is responsible for Östersund Municipality's total property portfolio of approximately 500,000 square meters and has around 70 employees. Property Technology Unit is one of four units forming the Property Sector. The unit employs 18 people with a broad mandate in regulatory requirements, maintenance planning, and maintenance measures. There is also significant responsibility for municipal investments in this unit, both in project management and as reference groups. The unit staff consists of engineers, project managers, and an administrator. Your New Job Are you an engaged and experienced project manager who wants to take responsibility for exciting projects in the construction and property industry? We are now seeking someone who is communicative, creative, and driven – a team player who also thrives in leading and making decisions. The position is a fixed-term employment for 12 months with start date by agreement. Possibility of extension may be current. Typical Work Tasks • As a project manager, you will work in a politically governed organization where public benefit is the focus. • You are responsible for driving your projects from start to finish and play a central role in ensuring our construction projects meet high-quality standards and overall goals. • In your role, you will primarily work with project management regarding fire protection in our LSS housing. • You are financially responsible for your projects and have a great ability to get employees from different parts of the municipality to collaborate. • You are responsible for coordination and follow-up with contractors and other partners. You lead meetings and handle work environment issues within the project. • You have overall responsibility for planning and leading your projects and collaborate closely with project owners and other stakeholders, considering political priorities. Your Competence Requirements • Higher education in a relevant field or experience deemed equivalent by the employer. • Experience in project management and/or other leadership roles. • Experience working with AB04/ABT06 and work environment regulations. • Very good computer skills, including extensive experience with MS Office suite. • Swedish language skills in speech and writing. • Driving license B. Meriting Factors • Experience working in a politically governed organization. • KMA experience. • Experience in public sector work. • Experience in the property industry. • Experience in construction law and procurement of goods and services.
