Job Responsibilities:
The project coordinator will coordinate ReAct's Ukraine work, which is part of "The Program for support to Ukraine in the sectors of health, healthcare and social policy 2025–2027". This will be done in collaboration with the Public Health Agency and other actors in Sweden. The position involves developing activities to support strategic goals in Ukraine's national action plan against antimicrobial resistance, focusing on goals for healthcare hygiene, awareness of antibiotic resistance among the population and healthcare personnel, and strengthened human resources and training. Work will occur through online platforms, webinars, development of informational materials, meetings, country visits, and other exchanges. A crucial part of this work is establishing collaborations within Uppsala University and other actors and institutions in both Sweden and Ukraine. The initiative began in 2025 and will be further developed during 2026-2027. International travel, including to Ukraine, may be required. The position may include the following tasks:
- Coordinate and execute activities within ReAct's project "Support to AMR mitigation in Ukraine"
- Develop/adapt/organize translation of existing healthcare hygiene training modules targeting healthcare personnel and students in healthcare profession programs
- Coordinate and develop courses for healthcare personnel or other relevant groups in antibiotic resistance and healthcare hygiene
- Develop/adapt/organize translation of existing materials for broader antibiotic resistance awareness activities targeting the public and civil society
- Establish collaborations within Uppsala University and with other actors and institutions in Sweden and Ukraine
- Contribute to ReAct's results-based monitoring and evaluation, participate in follow-up meetings, contribute to reporting
- Participate in ReAct's ongoing efforts to mobilize funds and diversify donor base, develop concept papers, applications, and donor communications
- Participate in coordination meetings, both internally in the ReAct network and with other actors
- Contribute to ReAct's external communication focusing on antibiotic resistance in humanitarian crises generally and in Ukraine specifically
- Write reports, contribute to documentation for monitoring and evaluation purposes
- Contribute to ReAct's resource mobilization by developing concept papers, applications, and arranging donor meetings
- Other administrative tasks or contributions to ReAct's work based on needs
Tasks can be adapted depending on background and areas of expertise
Qualification Requirements:
- Academic degree in medicine, nursing, or public health, or other area relevant to the position
- Previous experience in project coordination and/or results-based monitoring and evaluation and/or financial resource mobilization
- Strong pedagogical skills and previous experience developing and delivering online or in-person training
- Excellent Ukrainian and English language skills, both spoken and written
- Previous experience working in Ukraine or supporting Ukraine's health sector
- Key personal abilities: strong strategic thinking, collaboration skills, organizational and coordination skills, commitment to ReAct's vision and values, flexibility, and ability to work independently and in teams with varied tasks in an international environment
Desirable/Meritorious:
- Experience working with implementation of national antimicrobial resistance action plans, preferably at healthcare structure level or in projects focusing on infection prevention and control, awareness-raising, and/or education
- Experience teaching in medical or nursing education programs
- Experience in international work (humanitarian aid, development cooperation, exchanges, or similar)
- Previous experience in communication and fundraising
- Knowledge of additional languages, especially Swedish, is also meritorious
About the Position:
Temporary position from January 1 to August 31, 2026. Part-time, 20-80%. Start date: January 2026. Location: Uppsala, Sweden. International candidates with relevant background and expertise may be considered for parts of this position.
