Project Office Manager, Development & Production

Your Role We are seeking an experienced and committed Operational Project Office Manager for our business focusing on development and production projects. Our systems include both HW and SW at the cutting edge of technology. In this role, you will become a central player coordinating multiple complex projects of significant strategic importance. You will be responsible for overall management, prioritization, and resource coordination across development and production projects. You will be part of the business management team and contribute to both the overall business perspective and the governance, follow-up, and reporting of status, risks, and forecasts. You will also play a crucial role in developing employees, strengthening competence, and creating effective working methods. As an Operational Project Office Manager, you are responsible for creating the conditions that enable customer project managers to deliver according to set business goals, timeline, and budget. Your role also involves ensuring that improvement initiatives are implemented in the business. Beyond executing existing commitments, you will be involved in calculating and preparing bids for new business and working throughout the entire product lifecycle, including obsolescence management. The role involves close collaboration with several internal functions, such as design, procurement, and production, as well as with other business areas within Saab. You will also collaborate externally with FMV, the Swedish Armed Forces, and various subcontractors. You will have line management responsibility. We are looking for someone who: * Has several years of experience in program management or project management of complex technical projects, preferably in development and production. * Is comfortable managing project portfolios and collaborating with experienced and new project managers. * Has excellent communication, prioritization, and coordination skills. * Is solution-oriented, analytical, and accustomed to handling change and complexity. * Thrives in a role with an operational focus at an overall level, without micromanaging projects. * Has experience in a leadership role and enjoys supporting and coaching other leaders. Experience in the industry, defense, or technology sector and familiarity with working in a business-driven project environment is advantageous. The position requires you to undergo and pass security protection regulations applicable at any given time.
