Project Engineer for Water and Sewage in Detailed Planning

We are now looking for two project engineers to join our dedicated team in the Detailed Planning unit, who want to help create favorable conditions in the physical planning of future Gothenburg! Kretslopp och vatten (Circulation and Water) is facing challenges in both creating conditions for a growing city, achieving our high environmental and climate goals, and maintaining and creating redundancy in our existing network and associated facilities. **Responsibilities** This role provides significant insight into the city's development and an opportunity to influence it. As a project engineer, you will be responsible for: • Overseeing water supply, stormwater, and heavy rainfall issues, and representing Kretslopp och vatten in the city's planning and development projects by collaborating with other departments and writing formal statements in the detailed planning process. • Developing stormwater and heavy rainfall investigations as well as system solutions for the expansion of water supply within your projects. Reviewing documentation and being a knowledgeable client through your strong technical expertise. • Monitoring your projects in relation to quality, cost, and time. To effectively address these tasks, we work closely with colleagues in the department and the urban development departments within the city. The Detailed Planning unit is part of the Planning and Systems operational area, where expertise in long-term planning, early stages, GIS, and hydraulic modeling exists. With us, you will have the opportunity to gain a holistic perspective in your work, aiming to create a sustainable Gothenburg. **Qualifications** We are looking for someone who has: • A university degree in civil engineering or equivalent education and experience that is deemed comparable. It is advantageous if you also have: • Experience with the Public Water Services Act. • Experience in investigations related to water supply, stormwater, and heavy rainfall. • Knowledge of urban planning, the detailed planning process, and the Planning and Building Act (PBL).
