About this role
We are looking for a Project Engineer for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).
This is a consulting assignment.
The position is full-time.
The assignment can be performed from Trafikverket's offices in Ă–rebro or Eskilstuna.
The role involves close collaboration with the client, which requires a high level of flexibility and teamwork skills.
**The Assignment**
The role of an experienced project engineer in road construction involves working closely with one or more project managers in Trafikverket's investment projects in the Central Region. The work is project-based and includes administrative support, planning, monitoring, and financial administration throughout the project's implementation. The role requires good organizational skills, independence, teamwork ability, and strong IT proficiency.
**Responsibilities**
- Work with forecasts and cost monitoring.
- Financial administration, including handling invoices and orders, preparing for year-end closing, etc.
- Manage the project's internal administration, such as project specifications, project routines, document management, presentation materials, etc.
- Arrange meetings, manage invitations and bookings.
- Take notes and minutes during meetings.
- Support project managers with scheduling, administration, monitoring, finance, etc.
- Follow up and update the project's control program, project specifications, risk analyses, and site-specific requirements.
- Participate in the reception control of the consultant's delivered documents and follow up on the quality of the documents.
- Be responsible for or actively participate in the project's handover process to Maintenance.
- Ensure that good order is maintained in the Project Portal.
**Requirements (Mandatory)**
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- B driver's license.
- University or college education of at least 180 credits (120 points) with a technical focus, or other education combined with 2 years of work experience as a project engineer or in project management. These two years cannot be counted in two places.
- Documented experience working as a project engineer or in project management. The work must have been performed for at least 48 months within the last 5 years. Internships do not count as work experience. You must have worked at least 75% of a full-time position.
- Documented knowledge and experience in budget work, planning, and risk management for at least 48 months within the last 5 years.
- At least 12 months of documented work, within the last 5 years, managing contracts based on AB 04, ABT 06, ABK 09.
- Documented experience working as a project engineer or in project management within road infrastructure for at least 36 months within the last 5 years. You must have worked at least 75% of a full-time position.
- High proficiency in using IT tools, including Microsoft Office.
**Desirable**
- More than 6 years of experience as a project engineer in construction and civil engineering projects within the relevant area of road.
