About this role

Do you want to contribute to one of Stockholm's most significant and complex urban development projects? We are now seeking a Project Engineer who wants to help shape the future of sustainable public transportation. In this role, you will become a central part of the project organization and work closely with project management, experts, and external stakeholders. The assignment offers long-term engagement, development, and the opportunity to influence work methods and processes. Your Work Tasks As a project engineer, you will among other things work with: • Financial and follow-up work in the project • Project and time planning with ongoing monitoring • Consultant procurement through established processes • Review of documentation and preparation of decision-making materials • Project administration such as meeting preparation, minutes, record-keeping, and document management • Development of presentation and meeting materials • Support in consultation processes and decision statements • Work within requirements, quality, risk, environment, and workplace safety You will be a coordinating link that creates structure, order, and progress in the project. Mandatory Requirements To succeed in the role, we require that you have: • At least 5 years of experience in financial follow-up for major investment projects • At least 5 years of experience from a client organization, within at least one of these areas: finance, time, risk, quality, requirements, environment, or workplace safety • Experience to be verified with at least two relevant projects It is meritorious if you have: • At least 3 years of experience as deputy design manager or deputy project manager • At least 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in construction or infrastructure projects • University degree in civil engineering, urban planning, city planning, or road and water engineering • At least 3 years of experience working within public sector Scope & Start Start: January 12, 2026 End: December 31, 2028 Scope: Full-time (40 hours/week) Possibility of extension Location: Stockholm with opportunity for approximately 40% remote work Does this sound like you?
