Project Engineer - Railway

We are looking for a senior project engineer for railway as well as road and bridge projects to join Trafikverket. This is a consulting assignment based in Stockholm. The position is full-time. The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which requires a high degree of flexibility and teamwork. **The Assignment** The role involves acting as a resource reinforcement within Trafikverket's project organization in the Investment Region East. As a senior project engineer, you will work in a complex railway environment focusing on project administration, project economics, planning, document management, and support for project management. You will participate in ongoing investment and reinvestment projects, primarily within railway as well as road and bridge projects, and be responsible for ongoing monitoring, coordination, and reporting in accordance with Trafikverket's governing processes. The assignment also includes meeting leadership, quality assurance of deliverables, system management, and support for project managers as needed. **Responsibilities** - Manage the project's ongoing administration in consultation with the project manager, including project specifications, routines, document management, presentation materials, record-keeping, and permissions. - Ensure order and structure in systems such as PP, IDA, and Chaos, as well as work with MSS (Measurement Document System). - Arrange and lead meetings, take minutes, and be responsible for invitations and bookings. - Update and follow up on baseline plans (project specifications, control programs, timelines, and risk management in Exonaut). - Set up and manage projects in C7 and Agresso together with the project manager and unit controller. - Be responsible for forecasts, cost tracking, invoice management, and the preparation of quarterly and monthly reports. - Review invoices, ensuring correct coding and approval. - Compile schedules and coordinate them with consultants and contractors. - Lead and document collaboration meetings and risk meetings, as well as prepare monthly materials for risk and status reports. - Be responsible for internal and external information activities and manage orders through Trafikverket's ordering system. - Compile post-calculations, final reports, and documents for procurement. - Participate in the review of consultant deliverables and follow up on quality. - Ongoing project planning and, if necessary, support or replace the project manager. **Requirements (Mandatory)** - At least 180 ECTS credits from a university or college with a technical focus. - A minimum of 5 years of documented experience working in a client project organization. This experience must have been acquired within the last 8 years. - At least 5 years of practical experience with Trafikverket's project portal, IDA, or Chaos, or equivalent systems with another client. - At least 5 years of practical experience with CDI, C7, Agresso, and Exonaut. - Active as a project engineer in the execution of at least 1 project from design to completed facility. - Active as a project engineer in the preparation of at least 2 tender documents for construction procurement. - Hold a valid B driver's license. - Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. - Good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and similar programs. **Meritorious** - Worked as a project engineer on the client side (Trafikverket or similar) with railway projects for at least 5 years recently. - Been responsible for sub-projects, such as design contracts for consultants. - As a project engineer, successfully completed complex railway projects in the Stockholm commuter train network. **Personal Attributes** - Independent and structured with the ability to plan and prioritize work effectively. - Good communication skills and accustomed to maintaining dialogue with contractors, consultants, and colleagues in long-term relationships. - Analytical and creative in problem-solving and project work. - Ability to independently lead projects or sub-projects as needed. **About Us** Centio's overarching goal is to be a consulting company that offers smart and sustainable solutions that positively develop society.
