Project Engineer Base Maintenance Road As a Project Engineer at Trafikverket, you help facilitate everyday life for residents and businesses throughout Sweden. Job Responsibilities What does a Project Engineer for Base Road Maintenance do at Trafikverket? You are a crucial part of the client organization for areas covering approximately 100 kilometers of road. You work with multiple project managers, maintenance engineers, and collaborate with controllers, communicators, and environmental and technical specialists as needed. In the office, you sit alongside maintenance engineers and project managers. Your primary task is to support project managers in road maintenance projects regarding administrative aspects, and independently manage certain areas such as damage handling and traffic environment orders executed in contracts. Other tasks include participating in procurement, attending project and construction meetings, and being well-versed in contract contents to address and manage customer inquiries. You have a key role with broad and varied responsibilities. Additional Information Interested in partial remote work? This position may offer the opportunity to work from home up to 40% of your working time. Qualifications Who are you? To succeed in this role, you must have: • A university degree of at least 180 ECTS credits in engineering, or equivalent education and work experience deemed suitable by Trafikverket • Several years of professional experience in administrative project work • Relevant work experience in project-based financial management • Excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written • Driver's license for manual transmission vehicles Advantageous additional qualifications: • Professional experience in damage case management • Experience in contract follow-up • Experience in road construction, operations, and maintenance • Project management experience Application Questions you answer when submitting your application will form the basis of our initial selection.
