About this role

At the Nät division, you will be involved in expanding and maintaining the transmission network – a crucial part of Sweden's electrification. To succeed in our socially important mission, we need to build 300 kilometers of lines and commission 20 stations each year. Together, we create a stable and sustainable energy infrastructure for the future. About the position As a design engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop within the field and exchange your experiences with competent colleagues within the unit and in collaboration with many others both internally and externally. Over time, you will progress by taking on larger and more complex assignments. The position allows for specialization in a specific work area as well as broad development as a designer. In this role, you will provide technical support in projects and serve as an important bridge between project managers and technical specialists in geotechnics, foundation engineering, land, and structures, while also being responsible for liaising with consulting firms involved in overhead line projects. You will actively participate in project meetings, design meetings, construction meetings, and similar forums, as well as in consultations, regulatory dialogues, and property owner meetings. The work includes technical requirements specification and review of technical documents during preliminary design and detailed design for both line projects and line measures in the transmission network. You will also support the management with tasks related to overhead line design and participate in the procurement of necessary services and resources for design assignments, such as specialists and land surveys. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing and updating technical guidelines within the area of overhead line design and contribute to the development and management of Svenska kraftnät's design process. The Project Technology section for overhead lines consists of three units. You will belong to the Technical Management North unit, which currently consists of six employees and three consultants. The role of technical support is to assist projects with technical and design-related issues. The section manages TR15-01 and -02. The majority of employees are based in Stockholm, but there are also teams in Gothenburg and Sundsvall. You have at least a three-year university degree in civil engineering, construction, geoscience, or equivalent qualifications acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. Additionally, you have: • At least 5 years of work experience in design within geotechnics, land surveys, or foundation engineering. • Good knowledge and experience of working according to Eurocode 7. • Documented experience in power line projects. • Proficiency in both spoken and written Swedish and English. • A valid driver's license (B). It is considered advantageous if you have: • Experience in reviewing geotechnical documentation. • Experience conducting field land surveys. • Experience working with GIS tools and other remote analysis tools. • Good experience in training others. • Experience with geophysical survey methods. • Experience in designing pile foundations. • Experience in contracting within land and construction.
