Welcome to a new future at Riksbyggen!
Riksbyggen is a cooperative company, meaning we are member-owned and operate based on our four core values: Innovation, Security, Collaboration, and Sustainability.
We develop sustainable living environments by both creating new homes and managing properties. As one of Sweden's largest players in both housing development and property management, we serve condominium associations, businesses, and public property owners. Regardless of your interests or goals, you are always welcome here. Are you ready for the next step in your career? We are now looking for a driven Project Economist for our Renovation business area. We are making significant investments in the renovation business and have clear growth targets. Are you ready to grow with us? Submit your application today!
Do you have experience working as an economist in the real estate or construction industry and are accustomed to driving business forward in projects while supporting your project manager colleagues with financial matters? Are you a social, service-oriented, and trustworthy person who works proactively with risk analyses? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
Make a difference with us
As a Project Economist at Riksbyggen, you will play an important and varied role within the renovation business.
You will work closely with approximately 90 project managers in renovation projects, supporting them with financial matters such as forecasting and follow-up.
As a Project Economist, you will proactively monitor the project's finances and manage its balance sheet and income statement. You will prepare documentation for invoicing, generate key figures and reports, and follow up and finalize projects. You will monthly reconcile the market area's balance and progressive result accounting and report to relevant decision-makers. You will also conduct analyses and support managers in their decisions with your understanding and insight into the projects' finances. Occasionally, you will also address questions related to VAT, financing, and tax issues, even though these are not part of your daily tasks.
You will work closely with your immediate colleague, also a Project Economist, to develop the financial process within your business area and occasionally work on specific development projects based on the needs of the organization. You will also participate in various training sessions on project economics within Riksbyggen. You will report to the Business Manager for Renovation.
Contribute with your expertise and commitment
We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics and experience working with accounting, budgeting, planning, and follow-up issues. You have experience in a similar role at a construction or real estate company. It is an advantage if you have worked with condominium associations and have knowledge of construction and property economics. We apply progressive result accounting, so experience in this area is a plus. This is not your first job; you have at least 2-3 years of experience from previous financial roles.
As a person, you are meticulous, structured, take initiative, and have a highly developed sense of quality. You are a communicative and pedagogical person who is used to building good relationships and can find new ways to collaborate and reach consensus. We believe that one of your driving forces is to work together with your colleagues towards common goals and results. Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, is required.
