**About the Position**
We are looking for a project controller for a research institute in Gothenburg - Mölndal!
In this role, you will work alongside project managers to analyze and monitor the projects' cost and revenue budgets. You will identify and analyze deviations between actual outcomes and budgets, as well as review the financial status of the projects. You will support and challenge project managers and project owners by providing decision-making materials and analyses as needed.
You will be part of a team of project controllers and business controllers in Mölndal. Together, you will support managers and project leaders within the division with calculations, budgeting, follow-up, and analysis.
**Other Responsibilities Include:**
- Ensuring that projects are set up correctly in the business system (ERP system IFS).
- Being responsible for accurate financial reporting to customers and financiers at RISE.
- Performing analyses in Power BI for follow-up and decision-making purposes.
- Conducting monthly profit settlements in connection with financial closing.
- Identifying and managing any risks in the projects.
- Implementing and ensuring financial guidelines and procedures.
- Actively participating in project audits together with project managers, group accounting, and group controlling.
**Assignment Period and Scope:**
The position of Accounting Economist/Project Controller is a full-time consultancy assignment starting on January 2, 2026, and is expected to last until January 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension for one (1) month.
**Working Hours:** 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
You will need to be on-site three days a week in Mölndal; remote work is possible for the remaining days.
**Requirements for the Position:**
- A degree in finance, at least a bachelor's degree from a college or university.
- Previous experience in financial work within controlling or accounting.
- Very high proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- At least one reference who can confirm that the above requirements are met.

**Meritorious for the Position:**
- Experience working in a research institute or equivalent as a controller.
- Experience in project accounting, specifically previous experience with application calculations and budget follow-up for projects.
- Experience in project accounting for research funders (i.e., grant-funded projects) or equivalent.
- At least one reference who can confirm that the above added value is met.
- Ability to express oneself fluently in both spoken and written Swedish.
- Ability to quickly take on the assignment.
