Project Controller

Job Description We are seeking a Project Controller for a comprehensive urban development project with a total cost of 5.3 billion Swedish kronor. The project aims to build a new city center while the Swedish Transport Administration expands the Mälarbanan from two to four tracks, which will run through a tunnel in the municipality. The new city center is an ambitious urban development project involving the release of 30,000 square meters of land, enabling the development of a dynamic urban environment. This location, referred to as the "New City Center", will serve as the heart of the municipality's development. The project includes housing, offices, commercial spaces, and public areas, creating a vibrant and attractive urban setting. Responsibilities: • Drive and quality assure budget and forecast work • Provide calculation support to project manager and project strategist • Monthly follow-up and analysis of outcomes for each sub-project • Follow-up and updating of internal control plan • Development of key performance indicators based on monitoring • Systematically work with routines and templates and continuously develop them • Support the project organization in financial matters and procedures • Collaborate with project strategist and accounting economist on various financial aspects of the project • Work with project strategist to develop long-term calculations and financial prerequisites for the project • Responsible for reporting to the project manager • Develop collaboration with group controller, company auditor, and urban development project strategist regarding project controlling Mandatory Requirements: • Documented experience in similar roles, with at least 10 years of experience in the field • Ability to deliver independently and be a resource that does not require supervision • Relevant education in finance, project management, or similar • More than 10 years of experience as an investment controller, preferably in urban development or similar large projects • Ability to develop and follow up on key performance indicators and deliver qualitative analyses • Experienced in working with budgets, forecasts, and cost allocation in complex project environments • Experience in developing routines and templates • Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with project managers and others • Analyses and reporting: Ability to create and analyze financial reports, develop key performance indicators, and follow up on goals • Experience working in complex financial systems with good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation • Strong collaborative abilities and experience interacting with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure efficient handling of financial matters • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work systematically under time pressure Additional: • Reference assignments: Experience confirmed through 2 reference projects Your Application Does the role sound interesting and suitable?
