We are now seeking a Project Controller responsible for work with budgets, forecasts, follow-up, and financial statements for a department and one or more research subjects. This is a 20% temporary position from January 1 to June 30, 2026, within operational support. You will be part of an administrative unit with employees working in finance, education, HR, and administrative support, led by an administrative manager. The unit serves as a shared resource for the entire organization, with the purpose of providing administrative support to management, researchers, teachers, doctoral students, and students.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Establishing budgets, forecasts, and financial statements at department, research subject, and project levels
• Ongoing accounting, project monitoring, and reporting to various funders
• Assisting with financial calculations and working closely with department heads, researchers, and project managers during research applications and reporting
• Presenting the department's and research subjects' financial information in various contexts
• Providing decision-making support and communicating with funders and other stakeholders
As a Project Controller, you will be part of the institution's financial function together with a controller, several project controllers, and financial administrators. You will also be part of the university's project controller network.

Qualifications
The position requires a university-level economics degree with a focus on accounting. Experience of a few years in accounting and/or project accounting is meritorious. The work requires good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.

You are results-oriented, analytical, have a structured approach, and easily build good relationships with people around you. Furthermore, you should be able to work independently, be proactive in change work, and take significant responsibility for your tasks. Scope and Location
We are seeking a Project Controller for a 20% temporary position from January 1 to June 30, 2026, based in Luleå.
