**Description**
The Department of Political Science at Umeå University is announcing a position as a project assistant in political science.
The position is a fixed-term employment for approximately 7 months, based in Umeå. Start date is immediate or as agreed upon.
The person hired will work on the research project Satocoon, funded by the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN). The project conducts its studies in six so-called "Living labs" in landscapes with high natural values in Europe and Japan.
**Responsibilities**
The role includes supporting researchers within the research program by collecting materials and compiling background reports and articles for comparative analyses between the program's various case studies. Planning, participating in, and designing workshops, as well as conducting interviews including transcribing interview material.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for candidates who have a master's degree in political science or related fields, or a foreign degree assessed as equivalent.
A requirement is that the applicant can express themselves very well in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written forms.
Other requirements include attention to detail, good collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently.
**Additional Qualifications**
Previous experience in assistant roles in international research projects or similar tasks with a focus on sustainability issues is particularly meritorious.
Other language skills, such as basic knowledge of French and German, are advantageous.
